In the Wings Promotions proudly presents our 5th production, HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, running November 14-22 at Montreal's infamous Cabaret Mado.
Hedwig and the Angry Inch is a rock musical about a fictional rock and roll band fronted by genderqueer, East German singer, Hedwig Robinson. With a book by John Cameron Mitchell and music and lyrics by Stephen Trask, the musical opened Off-Broadway in 1998, and won the Obie Awards and Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical. The Broadway production, starring Neil Patrick Harris and Lena Hall opened in 2014 and won 4 Tony Awards including Best Revival of a Musical, Best Lead Actor in a Musical for Harris and Best Featured Actress in a Musical for Hall.
Directed by META winner, Nadia Verrucci, with Musical Direction by META nominee, Ian Baird and costumes designed by Sig Moser, this 20th anniversary production of HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH features Nova Scotia born Andrew Morrisey as Hedwig and Los Angeles born Noelle Hannibal as Yitzhak. Performing as Hedwig's band, The Angry Inch are Baird along with James Parm, Stephen Menold and Sebastian Balk-Forcione.
Composer/Lyricist Stephen Trask will be making a special appearance at the opening night performance on November 14, 2018 and will conduct a talkback after the show.
Performances run November 14th, 15th, 21st, and 22nd at 8PM at Cabaret Mado, 1115 St Catherine St E, Montreal, QC H2L 2G2
