A hot new addition to the FANatic Saturdays slate of programming, Gregory Charles and the Habs Band will bring a thunderous atmosphere to the Bell Centre on Saturday, November 3 when the Canadiens play host to the Tampa Bay Lightning. Gregory Charles and the Habs Band (made up of 3 seasoned musicians along with Kim Richardson) will perform fan favorite hits during stoppages in play and at intermissions during the game.
They will be performing fan favorites during stops in play and the intermissions. Fans in attendance will have the chance to submit song requests to the Habs Band via Twitter using the hashtag #HabsBand. Gregory Charles and the Habs Band will play a selection of songs live.
A renowned virtuoso, Gregory Charles is the perfect person to lead the brand new Habs Band. Known for his vast musical culture and his unique interpretations, Gregory Charles has toured the globe and entertained audiences with his unparalleled improvisational talents. His shows have received critical acclaim in New York and Paris, and most recently at L' Olympia de Montréal in early October.
"It's an immense honor and a privilege, as a lifelong Canadiens fan, to be able to contribute to the game's entertainment experience. With the help of my fellow musicians and of Kim Richardson, this unique musical challenge will allow me to accompany the fans during the game and to serve at the pleasure of the team," said Gregory Charles with delight.
The Habs Band will be on site beginning with the first period on November 3, and will remain on site for the duration of the game, including the two intermissions.
