The DWYT launches its I Heart YIDDISH Series with a tribute to its late great composer of many musicals, Eli Rubinstein, on August 27th at 8:00 p.m. The series returns for a third year of concerts, staged readings, film screenings, and more. Another highlight of the four-part program includes a re-mount of Miriam Hoffman's Yiddish adaptation of Neil Simon's rollicking comedy Sunshine Boys, Di Komedyantn in the spring. Finally, Bryna Wasserman will return to the Segal Centre to co-direct the Yiddish musical adaptation of The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz, with Rachelle Glait from June 8th to 29th, 2014. The former Segal Centre Artistic Director remains involved with the DWYT as Honorary Artistic Director.
