Centaur Theatre Company to Host A SEASON OF SONGS Gala, 9/24

On September 24th, 2013, Centaur Theatre Company will host A Season of Songs, the 9th edition of their annual fundraising gala. This year's theme is inspired by the changing seasons as well as Centaur's upcoming 45th season, Centaur Plays in Colour. Guests will be greeted by a colourful décor, with performers dressed fantastically as fall, winter, spring and summer!

Tony Loffreda, the Honourary Chair of this sumptuous Gala, will welcome guests into the lavish Seagram Gallery at 6:00 PM. Catering By George! will provide a delectable menu for the event, with elegant hors d'oeuvres, including 7-hour baked lamb bites and Havarti chive truffles; an inimitable beef station, with a carvery of "Black Angus" chateaubriand; an opulent seafood station, with whole sides of smoked Atlantic salmon and oyster bar with fresh seasonal oysters from the East and West Coast; and a whimsical array of colourful sweets for a dessert menu that will perfectly reflect the theme of our 45th season, Centaur Plays in Colour. The meal will be accompanied by delicious wines provided by the SAQ. After the meal, guests will enjoy a rich digestif courtesy of Chivas Regal scotch. Throughout the cocktail dînatoire, the silent auction will feature an extravagant array of prizes such as gift certificates to the most exclusive restaurants, tickets to acclaimed plays and concerts and romantic getaways.

At seven thirty, guests will be seated in the historic theatre for a live (and lively) auction hosted by CJAD 800's Aaron Rand. The amazing prizes are sure to entice some exciting bids. Some of our most sought-after packages include a 7-night cruise aboard the elegant American Queen Steamboat, premium hockey tickets and exclusive opportunities to meet cast members from Centaur's 45th season.

Following the auction, the evening's entertainment will delight and enchant with a concert of musical favourites from the stage and film produced by Nadia Verrucci's acclaimed Montreal musical theatre company In Your Face Entertainment, along with special guest star Dorothée Berryman. Rediscover seasonal classics such as Summertime and Baby, It's Cold Outside and enjoy Broadway hits inspired by Centaur's 45th season, such as Be Italian.

All proceeds of this glamorous event go to Centaur Theatre Company's tireless efforts to bringing quality, cutting-edge theatre to the Montreal community, and to its upcoming 45th season.

Tickets are still available for this not-to-be-missed gala. Tickets are $250 each, $5,000 for a patron table (eight tickets).
