Centaur Theatre Company will present the world premiere of Pascale Rafie's THE BAKLAWA RECIPE, running January 23rd through February 18th.
Featuring the talents of Eleanor Noble, Anne-Marie Saheb, Christina Tannous, and Natalie Tannous, THE BAKLAWA RECIPE tells the heartwarming story of two young Lebanese immigrants who come to Canada in the 1960s. They struggle to balance traditional roles with the growing feminist movement, and they (eventually along with their daughters) must learn how to belong to two worlds: the one they left and the one they've come to.
THE BAKLAWA RECIPE is directed by Emma Tibaldo, and translated by Melissa Bull. The rest of the creative team includes Eo Sharp (Set and Costume Designer), Nicolas Royer-Artuso (Composer), Bruno Rafie (Lighting Designer), Peter Cerone (Sound Designer), Emily Murdoch (Assistant Director), Jacynthe Lalonde (Stage Manager), Chloé Ekker (Apprentice Stage Manager).
