Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, Roy Surette, Centaur Theatre's Artistic and Executive Director announces a new line-up in the Theatre's upcoming season.

Centaur's 44th Season will now open with three-time recipient of the Governor General's Literary Award, Jean-Marc Dalpe's gripping family drama, August, An Afternoon in the Country.

In a recent letter sent to Centaur subscribers, Mr. Surette thanked everyone for their understanding as well as their continued and valued support of this Montreal landmark cultural institution, "Please rest assured that you will not be disappointed as every play included in your subscription season will be presented – just in a revised sequence."

Harry Standjofski, a Centaur favorite (Urban Tales, Don Quixote), will be at the helm of the season opener, directing a talented cast of Montreal artists for the Quebec English-language Premiere. Translated by Maureen Labonte, this gripping, poignant and often hilarious tale of four generations of a Quebecois family will feature some of Montreal's finest actors, including Danette Mackay, Chip Chuipka, Pauline Little, Pier Kohl, Arielle Palik, with set and costume design by James Lavoie.

August, An Afternoon in the Country will run from October 2 to 28, 2012.

The original cast from Denmark's celebrated GRANHØJ DANS will present the North-American premiere of the much-anticipated Dance Me to the End ON/OFF Love at Centaur Theatre from March 19 to April 24, 2013.

"I am delighted Montreal audiences will have the opportunity to experience this acclaimed work with its unique multidisciplinary use of the words and music of Leonard Cohen," says Roy Surette.

Subscription packages are available at www.centaurtheatre.com and at Centaur Theatre's Box-office 514 288 3161.
