The Fantasticks is the world’s longest-running production of any kind, and with good reason: at the heart of its breathtaking poetry, subtle theatrical sophistication and musical scope is a purity and simplicity that transcends cultural barriers. The story is not rewritten but this steampunk adaption gives the show a science fiction, mechanical feel. The costumes, sets and props are unique but the story has not changed.
