Every August we at Verge Theater regroup, after our 11 month Season, and contemplate existence, our place in the world, and of course the next season. So, after much thought, here is our 2017-2018 season lineup. Go to vergetheater.com for more info on shows, classes, and ways to get involved!

On our Main Stage in September, Todd Hoberecht returns to a comfortable role as Director of The Producers, Mel Brooks' laugh-out-loud, outrageous, award-winning farce. We'll follow that in October with our hugely popular storytelling show, Tales From The Verge, where Verge funnyman Ryan Cassavaugh gathers 5 locals to tell true, hilarious, and embarrassing stories about stepping out of their comfort zone. October will also find our Rocky Horror cast descending on Plonk Wine in downtown Bozeman for a sensuous Dinner Theatre that you will never forget. On the Family stage in October, come be a part of a magical, medieval adventure with our production of The Sword In The Stone, an exciting re-telling of the Arthur myth.

Carrying on our historic tradition of producing huge musicals on a tiny stage, our incredible Teen Theater program will be challenging 6th-12th graders in October & November with the hilarious and madcap antics aboard an ocean liner in Anything Goes. In December our crack team of writers and actors create the 7th Annual Comedy Revue which puts Saturday Night Live and Kids In The Hall to shame! And bring the whole family for A Little House Christmas as the Ingalls family carries on with plans for the annual Christmas tradition... even though the weather outside is frightening!

We'll open 2018 with Random Acts Of Improv. You'll be glued to your seat as you watch The Bozeman Improverts create a full-length play right before your very eyes, starting with only a suggestion from the audience. In February, Verge Theater will proudly partner with Bozeman Actors Theatre to produce Doug Wright's riveting story of survival, I Am My Own Wife, which tells the tale of a German transvestite who survived the Nazi onslaught and the repressive East German Communist regime. For a little lighter fare, bring the kids to our Silly Moose Comedy Improv Hour on Saturdays throughout February!

We have a packed March As Tales From The Verge is back with 5 new, true, and raw stories about Spring Break adventures! We will also, in conjunction with The Cancer Support Community, produce A Thousand Winds: Survival Stories, an original play filled with hope and humor by local playwright Greg Owens, based on a writing group of cancer survivors and family members he organized and conducted. As March winds down we'll be winding up the Family Stage with the fun and action-packed musiCal Alexander and The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst and Shelly Markha! This stage adaptation will have you bent over in laughter and commiseration!

The Rocky Horror Show has become a tradition in our April calendar. Join Brad and Janet as they try to survive Frankenfurter's castle of seduction in our 9th Annual production of Richard O'Brien's cult classic!! At the end of April and into May, we are so excited to co-produce David Mamet's American Buffalo with the pros over at Montana Shakespeare In The Parks! This modern masterpiece will tug you around as the playwright manipulates both audience and characters with his weaponized script. May will also find The Bozeman Improverts back on stage with another installment of the most daring and death-defying feat of the Improv World: Random Acts Of Improv!

And then June and July will be upon us, but we're playing those months close to the chest. Stay tuned for an exciting announcement of our Summer 2018 offerings! But in the meantime, come on out to the theater. We have everything listed above and more! We'll be offering Improv, Acting, and musical theater classes for kids, teens, and adults. And don't forget to check the schedule for Monday Night Improv shows happening throughout the season.

Visit vergetheater.com for reservations and more info about our entire 2017-2018 Season. We hope to see you at The Little Black Box On The Edge (of Bozeman)!
