The Ellen Theatre Announces Upcoming Events - OKLAHOMA!, MATILDA Movie Screening, and More  Image

Dust off that surrey with the fringe on top! The Ellen Theatre is celebrating the 75th Anniversary of one of America's most beloved musicals! This Rogers and Hammerstein masterpiece opens Friday, July 13th and runs for thirteen performances, featuring a LIVE Orchestra! If you've never seen this Broadway blockbuster, it's the granddaddy of them all, with hit songs such as Oh, What A Beautiful Mornin', I Cain't Say No, and the toe-tappin' title tune - Oklahoma!

Tickets are $25.00 for Adults and $18.00 for Youth 17 and under. Premium seating is available for $34.00 and Upper Balcony for $18.00. Tickets and information at TheEllenTheatre.org. Oh, what a beautiful musical - Oklahoma! at The Ellen Theatre - it's more than O.K.!

Oklahoma! runs July 13 to July 29: Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 3 PM, with additional matinees on Saturday, July 21 and 28 at 2 PM.


Sponsored by The Western Café of Bozeman, The Ellen Theatre's fifth annual Summer Western Series continues throughout July! This month, Ellen's big silver screen features stars such as Robert Redford, Spencer Tracy, and James Stewart.

All movies start at 7:30 PM and the Ellen Saloon opens for refreshments at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $6.00 and available at TheEllenTheatre.org or call the box office at (406) 585-5885.

A film adaptation of the Roald Dahl novel, Matilda is the story of a young, gifted girl, living in a troubled environment where she faces judgment, abuse and a lack of sympathy in both her homelife and at school. Discovering she possesses a flair for telekinesis, Matilda utilizes her powers for good, defending her friends from their terrifying, strict bully of a Principal and fighting back against her unkind parents.

Soft drinks, candy, popcorn, and other refreshments available for purchase at 1 PM, with the movie at 2 PM. Only $2.00 at the Door! No ticket needed, just show up and seating is first come, first served. 1 hour and 40 minutes. Rated PG.
