The Gladstone Arts Commission will present the third show of the 2011/2012 Season of the Gladstone Community Center Public Art Space Featured Artist Exhibits. The art opening will take place from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Tuesday, February 7th. Light refreshments will be provided by Gladstone HyVee.

This show, titled “Artist & Teacher”, focuses on the 45 visual art educators in the North Kansas City School District.

About the event: "Art educators are very special members of the teaching staff who work with students to develop their ability to solve challenging visual problems and to interpret the written and spoken language into a visual format. In addition to encouraging students to develop a body of work, these teachers are also artists in their own right, working in a variety of personally meaningful medias and pursuing a diverse subject matter. This show is a celebration of these individuals who are at once both “Artist & Teacher”!"

The exhibit will be open during normal operating hours of the Gladstone Community Center for six weeks.
