Raised by a painter and printmaker, Kate Weare's deliciously inventive choreography reflects influences from visual art, music, and psychology. Garden (2011) holds true to these influences with an austere yet visually striking set that includes an upside-down tree, a large stump serving as a power base throughout the piece, and gorgeously impressionistic lighting. The program will also feature excerpts from the brand new piece, Dark Lark (2013).
