To help share the Christmas spirit, this fun event will also feature a craft table for early birds who want to get their holiday cards and stocking stuffers, a table for Christmas cookies, and even a visit by Santa, for those who wants to get that holiday photo out of the way! Quade entertained audiences last summer in her hit comedy, Bible Bingo. This time, she returns as our favorite bingo playing former nun in the holiday comedy, Christmas Bingo: It's a Ho-Ho-Holy Night, running July 12 through July 17, 2016, at the Walker Bay Theater.
Performances for this special Christmas in July event will be on 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, 3 p.m. Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 3 p.m. Sunday. Written by Vicki Quade, co-creator of the comedy, Late Nite Catechism, Christmas Bingo was selected as one of 10 holiday shows highlighted by Chris Jones, the Chicago Tribune's theater critic. In this interactive comedy, Audience members play bingo while also answering questions about Christmas traditions, the origin of St. Nick, where do candy canes come from, miracles in the Bible . . . and the funniest true and false quiz about St. Nick you'll ever find. Add to that a box of wacky prizes, fun bingo cards, and a lot of Catholic humor.
