Theatre in the Round Players (TRP) continues its 66th season with Emma, in weekend performances from February 9 - March 4, 2018.
In this lively adaptation of her famed novel, Jane Austen herself steps on stage to
shepherd her delightful characters through the pitfalls and surprises that await them. Emma Woodhouse attempts to marry off her trusting young friend Harriet to all the wrong people while nearly missing out on true love herself. Set in an English county peopled with unforgettable comic characters, Austen's comic masterpiece is one of the great beauties of the English language.
Miriam Monasch directs the 16-member cast, led by Gabriella Abbott as Emma and Jenny Morris as Jane Austen. Sets are designed by Sadie Ward, costumes by Carolann
Winther, lighting by Andrew Troth, sound by Sadie Ward, and props by Wendy Freshman.
An audience discussion with members of the company will follow the matinee performance on Sunday, February 18.
Tickets are $22. For information, call the theatre's box office at 612-333-3010 or visit its website at www.TheatreintheRound.org.
