Theatre in the Round Players (TRP) presents Christopher Durang's comedy Beyond Therapy in weekend performances June 3-26, 2011.
They meet through the personals. Bruce likes to cry, express his emotions and confesses to Prudence that he's bisexual. Prudence doesn't think men should cry unless something falls on them. And things only get worse when they turn to their psychiatrists for help. This screwball farce is one of Durang's most popular and frequently performed comedies.
Craig Johnson directs a cast of seven, featuring Emma Gochberg as Prudence and David Beukema as Bruce. Sets are designed by Philip Hoks, costumes by Mandi Johnson, and lighting by Deborah C. Tallen.
An audience discussion with director Johnson and members of the company will follow the matinee performance on Sunday, June 19th.
Tickets are $20, with discounts for seniors and a student price of $10 on Fridays and Sundays. For information, call the theatre's box office at 612-333-3010 or visit its website at www.TheatreintheRound.org.
