Theatre in the Round Players (TRP) presents "Treasure Island" in weekend performances April 26 through May 19, 2013.

Young Jim Hawkins discovers a map that leads him to the high seas, buried treasure, and the notorious Long John Silver, one of the most famous hero-villains in literature. Stevenson's classic adventure is presented here in an award-winning adaptation by one of theatre's most popular playwrights Ken Ludwig (Lend Me a Tenor) and TRP's production captures the legendary tale with imagination, physicality, high theatrics!

Noah Bremer makes his directorial debut at Theatre in the Round. The artistic director of Live Action Set, a local theater company specializing in collaborative physical pieces, Bremer trained at California's Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theater before joining Cirque du Soleil as a principal performer during 2010. At TRP, he directs a 16-member cast featuring Jason Andrews as Jim Hawkins and David Tufford as Long John Silver. Sadie Ward is scenic designer, with Michelle Clark designing costumes, and lighting by Daniel Ellis and Adam Vahrenkamp.

An audience discussion with members of the company will follow the matinee performance on Sunday, May 12th.

Tickets are $22. For information, call the theatre's box office at 612-333-3010 or visit its website at www.TheatreintheRound.org.
