Theatre in the Round Players presents LITTLE WOMEN By Peter Clapham based on the first half of the novel by Louisa May Alcott March 22 - April 14, 2019
Audience discussion follows the matinee on Sunday, April 7
Theatre in the Round Players (TRP) continues its 67th season with Little Women, in weekend performances from March 22 through April 14, 2019.
One of the greatest American narratives, this enduring story for all ages is based on Alcott's own childhood. Under the guidance of their beloved mother, the four young March sisters - tempestuous Jo, motherly Meg, shy Beth, and spoiled baby Amy - struggle to keep their family going while their father is away, fighting on a distant battlefield of the Civil War. In this beautifully dramatized adaptation, the sisters work, dream, play - and learn what it means to grow up with privation and illness yet find true joy.
Seth Kaltwasser directs the 11-member cast, with sets designed by Greg Vanselow, lighting by Mark Kieffer, and costumes by Carolann Winther.
An audience discussion with members of the company will follow the matinee performance on Sunday, April 7.
One extra performance has been added on Thursday, April 11 (see calendar below). Tickets are $22. For information, call the theatre's box office at 612-333-3010 or visit its website at www.TheatreintheRound.org.
