Theatre in the Round Players (TRP) presents the comedy BORN YESTERDAY by Garson Kanin in weekend performances November 19 through December 12.
The vulgar, egotistic - and rich - Harry Brock arrives in our nation's capital toting his ex-showgirl mistress Billie. While he's out making backroom deals, he hires a newspaper reporter to tutor her in the ways of Washington. And Billie proves to be a quick study. This comedy had one of the longest Broadway runs in history.
Dann Peterson directs the cast of eight, featuring Kjersten Johnson as Billie, Brian Joyce as Harry and Christopher Kehoe as Paul. Sets are designed by Michael Hoover, costumes by John A. Woskoff, and lighting by Daniel Ellis.
An audience discussion with director Peterson and members of the company will follow the matinee performance on Sunday, December 5th.
Tickets are $20, with discounts for seniors and a student price of $10 on Fridays and Sundays. For information, call the theatre's box office at 612-333-3010 or visit its website at www.TheatreintheRound.org.
