Theatre Latté Da has announced its 2009-2010 season, which includes collaborations with the Ordway Center in St. Paul, and the Guthrie and the Hennepin Theatre Trust in Minneapolis.

Their 12th season begins with the hit musical THE FULL MONTY at the Ordway Center McKnight Theatre October 15 - November 8, 2009. Based on the acclaimed hit film, this musical comedy follows a group of down-on-their-luck steelworkers who find an unusual way to make some extra cash. Being strapped for cash is a common occurrence these days, and it's something that makes THE FULL MONTY even more relevant than its premiere ten years ago. "I find the journey of this unlikely gaggle of men quite profound. They are united only through unemployment and desperation, but find renewed self-esteem and strength through honest friendship," said Artistic Director Peter Rothstein.

Just in time for the holidays, ALL IS CALM: THE CHRISTMAS TRUCE OF 1914 will return to Minneapolis's Pantages Theater December 17 - 20, 2009. Latté Da will again join forces with Hennepin theatre Trust and the reknowned vocal ensemble Cantus to retell the inspiring story of the World War I Christmas Truce. Set to European carols and war songs, ALL IS CALM premiered to great acclaim on Minnesota Public Radio, and was broadcast around the world this past year.

The season closes with Jeanine Tesori's VIOLET, which will play at the Guthrie's Dowling Studio February 26 - March 21, 2010. Set in the early days of the civil rights movement, VIOLET tells the story of a young white woman both emotionally and physically scarred. She sets out to find a cure, and soon crosses paths with a black soldier who forms an unlikely bond with her. Tesori's first musical won her an Obie Award, the New York Drama Critics Circle award for best Musical, and the Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Musical.

This summer, Latté Da will hold two free outdoor cabarets in the parks of Minneapolis to showcase The company's past seasons - and give a sneak peek of what lies in store. Both performances feature some of the Twin Cities' best and brightest, including Christina Baldwin, Bradley Greenwald, Teri Parker-Brown and Tod Petersen. The first performance takes place Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis at 7:00 p.m. The second performance will be Monday, August 3, 2009 at the Lake Harriet Bandshell at 7:30 p.m.

And once again, the annual cabaret series THEATER LATTÉ DARK will continue to premiere new work and new voices. Dates and locations to be announced. For more information, call (612) 339-3003 or visit www.latteda.org.
