From the people who brought you The Dead of Winter Double Feature: the World Crime League's F**ked-Up Xmas Special will be presented December 7-10 at The Phoenix Theatre in Minneapolis.

This holiday play festival will consist of nine plays, all of which are making their Twin Cities premiere, and all of which explore the more twisted avenues of the holiday season. In Becky's Christmas Wish by Ashley Lauren Rogers, an elf must grant the sinister wish of the (alleged) best little girl in the whole world. One of the most beloved Christmas classics gets the undead treatment in A (Very Zombie) Christmas Carol by Steph DeFerie.

A disturbed young woman decides to assassinate Santa Claus in World Crime League founder Andrew Rosdail's dark comedy Shooting Father Christmas. Alex Dremann's play The Red Suitcase sees a cuckolded Santa making a wicked proposition with an unfaithful husband.

New York playwright Duncan Pflaster has two plays in the festival. The first, Cold Outside, is a take on one of the more questionable Christmas standards in which a mouse tries to evade the advances of a wolf after a holiday party.

His second play, Bring Me Flesh and Bring Me Wine (or Tiny Tim Who Did Not Die), sees Tiny Tim from the Charles Dickens classic as a vampire in modern times, hoping to bestow the gift of eternal life upon a homeless woman.

In Joe Samaniego's Noel &Joy: A Not So Christmas Special, Joy and her girlfriend Noel try to find the perfect Christmas tree and put off the dreaded visit from Joy's conservative parents. Bobby's Letter to Santa by Nicholas Gentile and Lisa Gentile features Jesus Christ and his plans to rebrand the Christmas holiday and making Santa Claus fear for his future. Rounding out the festival is a short play by Minneapolis native Valerie Bowry entitled Christmas Present, which tells of a young woman encountering a former fling on the bus after getting herself a "present."

These shows will be directed by Stephanie Alexander, Ryan Beal, Andrew Rosdail, and Troy Stolp and will feature the talents of Kendra Alaura, Varghese Alexander, Al Fiene, Kya Fischer, Haley Hubbard, Alex Kokovich, James Miskimen, Christine Pietz, Andy Rakerd, Bethel Safawo, Evan Slack, Leigh Webber, Alexander Wolfe, Cayla Marie Wolpers, and Chelsea Wren.

The World Crime League's F**ked-Up Xmas Special promises to be a crazy night that results in everyone involved being placed on the Naughty List for life. It is not recommended for anyone under the age of 16.
