The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts continues its Broadway Songbook series today, June 10 through June 12 with Kander & Ebb & All That Jazz. Tickets are $37 and can be purchased online at www.ordway.org, by phone at 651-224-4222 or in person at the Ordway ticket office.

The Broadway Songbook series offers an intimate, personal look at the stories behind the songs that created Broadway, exploring the history, meaning and impact of Broadway on popular American culture through portraits and anecdotes of the writers and performers who created some of the most iconic shows of all time. Broadway Songbook: Kander & Ebb & All That Jazz will dive into the work of John Kander and Fred Ebb, the music-and-lyrics team responsible for a myriad of Broadway and Hollywood hits including Cabaret, Chicago and New York, New York.

"With a career spanning nearly five decades, Kander and Ebb formed the longest-running songwriting partnership in Broadway history. This latest installment in our Broadway Songbook series will explore their sensational career, from their first musicals in the 1960s to their later work in the early 2000s," said James A. Rocco, Ordway's vice president of programming and producing artistic director. "You'd be hard-pressed to find somebody who doesn't recognize their music. Their songs have been recorded by many major artists, from Frank Sinatra to Liza Minnelli-even the stars of Glee. This show will be a celebration of the bold, brassy and provocative music that is Kander and Ebb's signature."

Broadway Songbook: Kander & Ebb & All That Jazz is written by Jeffrey P. Scott and James A. Rocco, with arrangements and musical direction by Raymond Berg and choreography by Lisa Bartholomew-Given. Rocco, a Broadway veteran, acts as the show's host. The cast features Lisa Bartholomew-Given, John Brink, Reid Harmsen, Caroline Innerbichler, Zoe Pappas and Thomasina Petrus.
