The Ordway Announces its 2012-2013 Season

Ordway Center for the Performing Arts today unveiled its 2012-2013 performance season. See the listings below.

“Bringing joy to our community through the best theater, world music and dance events available today is the Ordway’s mission, and this season delivers on that promise,” says Patricia A. Mitchell, Ordway’s president and CEO. 

“I’m completely jazzed about the Ordway’s new season,” says James A. Rocco, Ordway’s vice president of theatrical programming and producing artistic director. “Classic musicals, intriguing world music and dance artists – this is a thoroughly rounded season of art and entertainment.”

Pre- and Post-show Events

The Ordway will feature a dance floor in front of the stage so patrons can dance the night away to Poncho Sanchez, Buckwheat Zydeco and Eileen Ivers. 

Offered in conjunction with select performances, Ordway Extras explore the themes of the evening’s performance one hour prior to curtain. Ordway Extras take place in the Marzitelli Foyer and are free with a ticket to that night’s show.

Talkbacks are the Ordway’s informal Q&A sessions presented immediately after select theater and dance performances. These lively discussions often include members of the cast, company and creative teams in an open audience discussion about the work and craft presented in the performance.

All world music and dance events offer a post-show party with music, mingling and cash bar.
