The Guthrie TINY KUSHNER Extends For Four Additional Dates, Plays Thru 6/13

The Guthrie today announced four additional performance dates for the highly-anticipated evening of short plays by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner, dubbed Tiny Kushner. The production, which was scheduled to conclude on June 7, will now play through June 13 in the Dowling Studio. The four additional performances - Thursday, June 11 at 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 12 at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, June 13 at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. - are now on sale through the Guthrie Box Office at 612.377.2224, toll-free 877.44.STAGE, 612.225.6244 (Group Sales) and online at www.CelebrateKushner.com.

Berkeley Rep Artistic Director Tony Taccone directs the production, which features four previously announced Guthrie favorites - J.C. Cutler (Major Barbara), Kate Eifrig (9 Parts of Desire), Jim Lichtscheidl (The Two Gentlemen of Verona) and Valeri Mudek (A Midsummer Night's Dream) - performing multiple roles in five works by Kushner, some of which are receiving their first public performance.

The artistic staff for Tiny Kushner includes Annie Smart (Set Designer), Anita Yavich (Costume Designer), Alexander V. Nichols (Lighting and Video Designer), Victor Zupanc (Sound Designer), Lauren Ignaut (Dramaturgy), Michele Harms (Stage Manager) and Meaghan Rosenberger (Assistant Stage Manager).

The Guthrie Theater, founded in 1963, is an American center for theater performance, production, education and professional training. The Guthrie is dedicated to producing the great works of dramatic literature, developing the work of contemporary playwrights and cultivating the next generation of theater artists. Led by Director Joe Dowling since 1995, the Guthrie opened its new three-theater home on the banks of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis in June 2006.
