I was framed! cries Mr. B.B. Wolf. I'm really not a bad sort, I've been misunderstood!
Huh, Mr. Squiggy Pig responded. Some sob story that is. Big dumb mammal kept leaning on my doorbell. Interrupted my work. Important work. Neighbors should not be seen or heard.
What if the story of The Three Little Pigs did not happen exactly the way the pigs said it did? What if all the Wolf wanted was to borrow a cup of sugar? And what, exactly, does happen to the frog-lipped Prince after the big kiss?
Jon Scieszka¹s crazy, inside-out versions of fairy tales have been SteppingStone Theatre favorites since we first produced The Stinky Cheese Man in 1999! The True Story of the Three Little Pigs (& The Frog Prince Continued) was first produced by SteppingStone in 2002, and is back for a repeat.
Mayhem and unexpected delights for young and old alike highlight this production, with Kent Stephen¹s brilliant script providing fun for children and adults alike. With sly allusions to iconic fairy tale characters,
updated references and witty rejoinders, The True Story of the Three Little Pigs (& The Frog Prince Continued) is perfect for a refreshing summertime family outing.
