Stages Theatre Company (STC) presents THE SNOW QUEEN, directed by Stages Theatre Company Artistic Director Sandy Boren Barrett, and Escalate Dance Company Artistic Director Ann Marie Omeish. This magical fairy tale is based on the classic book by Hans Christian Andersen, and was the inspiration for Disney's Frozen, and springs to life on our stage in this world premiere ballet.

When Gerda's best friend Kai disappears, she sets off on an epic journey to save his life. But can Gerda break the Snow Queen's enchantment before it's too late? This timeless story of love and friendship is told through the art of dance and continues our popular performance collaboration with Escalate Dance that brought you Owl Moon, The Mitten and Twelve Dancing Princesses.

Local ariel artist Evelyn Digirolamo portrays the title character of the Snow Queen while Arie Cohen plays Kai and Emma Highfield plays Gerda. The talented cast of local youth performers also includes: Ellen Anderson, Halle Audette, Faith Barrett, Grace Blando, Sara Bowman, Morgan Burkum, Zoe Carter, Arie Cohen, Natalie Cruzat, Jack Dahlager, Lydia Dahlager, Liliana Felton, Emma Highfield, Clare Judge, Allison Kiewatt, Bridget Miller, Sara Moreau, Maryn Reader, Abby Reynolds, Zoe Sax, Lizzie Semington, Anna Stenerson, Jozie Tamarkin and Sophia Wulf.

We are thrilled to collaborate with a number of wonderful choreographers on this production including: Shannon Raines, Katie Schlosser, Anna Esposito, Nikki Swoboda, Anna Hickey and Evelyn Digirolamo. The creative team also includes: Artistic Director / Director - Sandy Boren-Barrett, Escalate Dance Studio - Ann Marie Omeish, Stage Manager - Emilia Allen, Lighting Designer - Barry Browning, Aerial Choreographer - Evelyn Digirolamo, Tech Director - Jim Hibbeler, Costume & Make-Up Designer - Lisa Jones, Sound & Composer - James Lekatz, Written By - Jennifer Kirkeby, Production Manager - Melanie Salmon-Peterson, Props Designer - Abbee Warmboe and Set Designer - Holly Windingstad
