Shadow Horse Theater Company, LLC is thrilled to announce its season by staging the Minnesota premier of "A Kind of Love Story" by Jenelle Riley. The original production in Los Angeles was nominated for six 2013 L.A. WEEKLY Theatre Awards. Performances will be taking place at the Old Arizona Studio tonight, February 1st through the 23rd. There will be a special Pay-What-You-Can performance on Valentines Day-Friday Feb 14th. Thurs-Sat performances are at 7PM and on Sundays, at 2PM .
"A Kind of Love Story" tells the story of two people who were made for each other - true soul mates - a man and a woman destined to fall madly in love with each other... if only they could ever meet. From award-winning writer Jenelle Riley comes a hysterical, modern and charming Twin Cities premiere play that both skewers and pays homage to the romantic comedy genre. Mark is a nice guy who never gets the girl, while Ally can't seem to shake the world's worst boyfriend. Both have built their romantic ideals on Disney heroes, fairy tales and Cameron Crowe movies. They're perfect for each other, but there's just one problem: they've never met. Follow their overlapping lives and witness all the ways these two are true soul mates, and wait for the moment they will find each other... if they find each other.
