Theatre in the Round Players presents THE LARK by Jean Anouilh in an adaptation by Lillian Hellman between February 10 - March 4, 2012.
Audience discussion follows the matinee performance on February 26th
Theatre in the Round Players (TRP) continues its 60th Anniversary Season as the longest-running theatre in Minneapolis with The Lark in weekend performances February 10 through March 4.
About the show: "On trial before the judges of the Inquisition, Joan of Arc recalls compelling scenes from her life -- from her family at home and her glorious victories leading the armies of France, to the wonder of her communion with Saints. She is condemned and sent to the stake but, in this surprising staging, Joan and her story are not finished. Lillian Hellman's clearly written adaptation of Anouilh's classic work is a gripping look at historical fact against the background of religious mystery."
Randy Reyes directs a 15-member cast featuring Bethany Peters as Joan. Sets are designed by Philip Hoks, costumes by Sophie Schneider, and lighting by A. Camille Holthaus.
An audience discussion with members of the company will follow the matinee performance on Sunday, February 26th.
Tickets are $22. For information, call the theatre's box office at 612-333-3010 or visit its website at www.TheatreintheRound.org.
