Ordway Center for the Performing Arts today announced two new changes to its board of directors. David Sewall has been elected as Secretary, while Diane Awsumb has been elected as a new member of the board. Both assumed their new roles in mid-Nov.
Since Sewall joined the Ordway board of directors in 2009, he has chaired both the Governance and Marketing Committees while also being a member of the Finance, Audit, Investment and Executive Committees. David is also a member of the Arts Partnership Investment Committee. Sewall has held marketing and management positions at 3M, later leveraging his business operations and change management experience to move into and focus on small businesses and startups.
Awsumb is the vice president of state government affairs at Koch Companies Public Sector, where she is responsible for managing state government affairs for all Koch Industries companies. Prior to assuming her current position, Awsumb spent 11 years directing lobbying and public affairs for Flint Hills Resources' northern tier operations. She graduated with honors from the William Mitchell College of Law, and earned her bachelor's degree in political science at the University of Minnesota.
"Both David and Diane bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Ordway board of directors," said Robert Cattanach, chairman of the board. "We're thrilled to welcome them both in these new roles."
