The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts is excited to present a special one-night-only performance of A Darlene Love Christmas - Love for the Holidays on Wednesday, Nov. 30 in the Ordway Concert Hall. Tickets, which are on sale now, start at $38 and can be purchased online at www.ordway.org, by phone at 651-224-4222 or in person at the Ordway ticket office.

A Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, Darlene Love has long been recognized as "one of the greatest singers of all-time." Her voice launched dozens of hits including "He's a Rebel," "(Today I Met) The Boy I'm Gonna Marry," "Marshmallow World" and her signature song, "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)." This holiday season, the music icon will bring these classics and more to the Ordway for a one-night-only holiday performance. It's a rockin' Christmas celebration you won't want to miss!

Love's career has spanned more than 50 years, from the glory days of the 1960s girl-group era to singing back up for artists like Sam Cooke, Elvis Presley, Dionne Warwick, Cher and Aretha Franklin. Love is perhaps best known for helping ring in the holiday season by performing "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" annually for nearly 30 years on the "Late Show with David Letterman." Love has proven herself a talented actress on both stage and screen, starring as Danny Glover's wife in all of the "Lethal Weapon" films and lighting up Broadway in such musicals as "Hairspray" and "Leader of the Pack." Love is also featured in the 2013 Academy Award-winning documentary, "20 Feet from Stardom," which chronicles the behind-the-scenes lives of background singers.
