SOMI

Mostly drawn from her travel experiences and her East African heritage, the songs tap into the tropical city's boastful cosmopolitanism, urgent inspiration and giant spirit. In this piece, Somi fronts a dynamic all-acoustic chamber-jazz septet while using lush musical arrangements and lyrical poetry to transport listeners through the streets of Lagos while recreating the very "salons" she hosted in Nigerian art galleries throughout her journey.
