Ordway Center for the Performing Arts today announced the cast for its holiday production of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, opening December 7, 2010 and running through January 2, 2011.

Starring in the title role will be Anthony Fedorov, who placed in the top four finalists of the FOX hit show "American Idol" and performed to more than a half-million fans throughout the country during the 2005 "American Idol Summer Tour." In 2007, he made his professional theatrical debut as Matt in THE FANTASTICKS and has gone on to play the title role in several productions of "Joseph" around the country.

Other cast members in the Ordway production include:

Jennifer Paz, whose credits include LES MISERABLES, MISS SAIGON and THE LAST FIVE YEARS will play the Narrator; T. Mychael Rambo, well-known to Twin Cities audiences for his theatrical and musical appearances with the Ordway, Guthrie Theater, Penumbra Theatre, Illusion Theater and Minnesota Opera, among others will play Jacob and Potiphar; Stewart Gregory, who has performed at the Ordway in SINGIN' IN THE RAIN with regional theater companies and on television, including "Comedy Central," will play the Pharaoh. The show will be directed and choreographed by Ordway's Vice President of Theatrical Programming and Producing Artistic Director, James A. Rocco and is based on a previous staging Rocco created with Jayme McDaniel.

"This is a dream team," says Rocco. "This group of individuals is the exact right combination I was looking for; a cast and design team that can capture the magical and satirical qualities of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's terrific first musical. I can't wait to get started, because it is going to be a gas."

JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT also features Lisa Bartholomew-Given (Wife), Marnie Buckner (Wife), Kari Lee Cartwright (Wife), Kym Chambers (Wife), Nicole Fenstad (Wife), Larissa Gritti (Wife), Timotha Lanae (Wife), Megan McClellan (Wife/Apache Dancer), Julianne Mundale (Wife/Mrs. Potiphar), Bridget Noltimier (Wife), Joel Liestman (Rueben), Michael Gruber (Simeon), Chad M. Anderson (Levi), Jered Tanner (Napthali/Butler), John R. Sloan (Issachar), AJ Eskridge (Asher), Randy Schmeling (Dan), Brian Kim (Zebulun), Brian Sostek (Gad/Apache Dancer), Kinaundrae Lee (Benjamin) and Tony Vierling (Judah).

Performing with the professional adult cast of almost 30 are more than 40 children from the Twin Cities and western Wisconsin.

The rest of the creative team for JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT includes Jeff Rizzo (Musical Director/Conductor), Martin Christoffel (Set Designer), Tom Surge (Lighting Designer), Zach Williamson (Sound Designer), and Robert A. Dunn (Wig Designer), Andrew Lloyd Webber (Music) and Tim Rice (Lyrics).

It's going to be a Technicolor® holiday as the Ordway produces Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's irresistible story of Joseph, his jealous brothers and one very colorful garment. This new and playful production is filled with surprising humor for adults and dazzling delights for children. Twin Cities favorite Lori Dokken will entertain patrons with special holiday music in the Marzitelli Foyer prior to each performance.
