The NorShor Theatre is hosting a community open house this weekend on Saturday, February 24 from 10:00am-12:00pm at the NorShor Theatre, welcoming one and all to come check out the restoration of the new NorShor Theatre.
"Didn't a chance to see inside the new NorShor during the run of Mamma Mia!? This is your opportunity to get inside," said Christine Seitz, executive and artistic director of the Duluth Playhouse.
All are invited to join the Duluth Playhouse to see the new auditorium, the restored murals, and artwork kept throughout from the original NorShor, and to see the modern updates made to this historic downtown theatre.
The NorShor Theatre officially opened its doors for its grand opening on February 1, 2018, with the regional premiere of the ABBA musical, Mamma Mia!. Seating 630 patrons each night, the entire run of the performance was sold out. The production was produced as part of the Duluth Playhouse's main stage season, and the Duluth Playhouse is also serving as the NorShor Theatre's manager as well as its anchor tenant.
