Mixed Blood Theatre is thrilled to announce that, following its 40th Anniversary gala, "Revelry: A Red-Tie Affair", it will continue the celebration with an after-party from 9:30-11:30pm at Paisley Park. For $40, guests are invited to a dance party helmed by DJ Breakbeat Lou (Co-Creator of Ultimate Breaks and Beats), accompanied by late night snacks, drinks and a cash bar, games and a predictably unpredictable celebration!
Proceeds from the evening's events will go to support the work, mission and future of Mixed Blood Theatre, a theatre company committed to the pursuit of social justice issues through the live performing arts.A professional, multi-racial company, Mixed Blood promotes cultural pluralism and individual equality through artistic excellence, using theater to address artificial barriers that keep people from succeeding in American society.
No tickets will be available at the door, so guests are encouraged to secure their tickets via the online portal by May 1st.
Says Managing Director Amanda White Thietje, "Mixed Blood originally planned to hold its after-party at its historic Firehouse in Cedar Riverside, but the team at Paisley Park Studios has been very gracious in allowing us to extend our evening on Paisley Park's soundstage. DJ Breakbeat Lou is an incredible artist and a great friend to Mixed Blood, and his commitment to helming the music experience for our guests sealed the deal. A night dancing at Paisley Park is a dream that so many Minnesota kids dream about checking off their 'bucket list'. This is the moment... it will be a one-of-a-kind night!"
All details and purchase information for the events can be found on Mixed Blood's website at http://www.mixedblood.com/gala.
