In July, the Maplewood Area Historical Society will offer a weekend of Minnesota-sourced food and clean comedy when it presents Bob Stromberg: Comedy Café at the Barn! on July 20-22. The evening will begin with appetizers and Minnesota-crafted wines, beers and sodas served on the lush grounds of the Bruentrup Heritage Farm, just east of Maplewood Mall. Audiences can stroll through the historical exhibits, participate in a scavenger hunt and leisurely listen to jazz piano entertainment before local comedian Bob Stromberg takes the stage to give audiences a full evening of hilarious comedy in the rustic red barn.

Stromberg, from Hugo, has traveled the world performing his very unique blend of standup, story and shtick. He's the co-author and an original star of Minneapolis's megahit theatrical comedy, Triple Espresso--A Highly Caffeinated Comedy, which has been seen by over two million people from San Diego to the West End of London. Stromberg's ability to captivate an entire family audience is rare in the entertainment field today. He hits the mark with nostalgic riffs on his adventurous boyhood and engages audiences in uproarious laughter, inspiring with simple truth and whip-smart wit.

Bob Stromberg: Comedy Cafe at the Barn! will take place July 20-22, 2018 at the Bruentrup Heritage Farm, 2170 County Road D East, in Maplewood. Minnesota-sourced drinks and appetizers will be served at 7:00pm, followed by the comedy show at 8:00pm. Tickets for the show are $35-$45 and include free drink and appetizer. Purchase online at www.maplewoodhistoricalsociety.org.
