MJTC Presents A World Premiere: NATASHA AND THE COAT ImageMinnesota Jewish Theatre Company (MJTC) concludes its 23rd season with the world premiere of Natasha and the Coat by Deborah Stein, directed by Miriam Monasch, winner of the 2012 Ivey Award for her direction of MJTC's Our Class.

Natasha has just begun a fashion internship in an atelier in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. When she clumsily spills coffee on a vintage fur coat, she takes it to a dry cleaner where the work of Yossi, an Hasidic Jew, results in beautiful restoration. As Natasha, eager to please her unknowing boss, brings more and more items for cleaning, the very different lives of these two millennials intersect, opening up possibilities for what their futures may hold. Join MJTC for the world premiere of a poignant play about independence, self-exploration, and defining your dreams.

Natasha and the Coat features Avi Aharoni as Yossi and Miriam Schwartz as Natasha. As an MJTC regular, Miriam returns fresh off the heat of Indecent at the Guthrie Theater. The Natasha cast also includes Muriel Bonertz, Kim Kivens (previously seen at MJTC in Church & State), and Charles Numrich (previously seen at MJTC in Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins).
