Celebrate the holidays with us as we bring the Christmas classic It's A Wonderful Life to the Lyric Arts Main Street Stage!

On Christmas Eve, George Bailey finds himself wondering if the city of Bedford Falls and its citizens would be better off had he never existed. Thankfully, George's guardian angel, Clarence, is sent to him in his hour of need to show him how the seemingly small actions of one man can cause tremendous change in the lives of those he's touched. This timeless tale is a reminder of how interconnected we are as humans, and how truly wonderful life can be.

Director Mark Hauck is ready to bring this timeless classic to life on the stage. "It's a Wonderful Life is filled with paradox. It's a classic that is surprisingly unknown by many people; it is a Christmas associated story that takes place largely outside of the Christmas season; it is a heroic journey with flawed, mundane, and human heroes. Time and place shift like a snowglobe - give it a shake and the whole scene is transformed."

As Hauck says, "It is a small, intimate story that sprawls across decades." It's a Wonderful Life focuses mainly on one man and his struggle to accept his ongoing sacrifices for his community and family, without realizing how meaningful his impact has been on the people of Bedford Falls.

Theater enthusiasts are also welcome to join in an exciting talk-back question and answer session with the cast and crew of It's A Wonderful Life on November 24, 2013. Talk-back sessions are offered for every show on the third Sunday of the run. All talk-back events take place after the show and are open to the public.

It's A Wonderful Life opens today, November 15th and runs through December 22nd, 2013. Tickets for the production and reservations can be made by calling the box office at 763-422-1838 or by visiting the Lyric Arts website at www.lyricarts.org.
