Nick Payne's Constellations was a huge hit in London and New York, where it had a Lincoln Center run with Jake Gyllenhaal and Ruth Wilson, earning her a Tony nomination for Best Actress, and Drama League nominations for Best Play, Best Actor and Best Actress.
The 75-minute play explores free will and friendship; it's also about parallel universes, love-and honey. The spellbinding, romantic journey begins with a simple encounter between Marianne, a physicist, and Roland, a beekeeper. But what happens next defies the boundaries of the known - delving into the infinite possibilities of their relationship and raising questions about the difference between choice and destiny.
Gisselman's creative team features the talents of Kate Sutton Johnson (scenic and costume design), Barry Browning (lighting design) and C. Andrew Mayer (sound design).
