Four Humors Theater today announced the beginning of its eighth season with its annual production of April Fools, a celebration of all things foolish. This year's festivities will take place at the Brave New Workshop Student Union in Uptown and will feature a silent auction, a beer and wine bar, and the official unveiling of Four Humors' upcoming 2012-13 season.

When "a mysteriously mustachioed villain steals laughter out from under their noses, four fools must embark on the most epic quest of their ridiculous lives. Will they recapture laughter? Will they defeat the villain? Will they be delayed by their friend poetry box? The laughs never cease in this farcical romp through a world of comedy, calamity and cardboard."

"As a company we think it's very important to celebrate with our audience," says Jason Ballweber, Artistic Director of Four Humors. "Throughout the year, our productions strive to create an atmosphere of connection between audience and performer, and April Fools is a particularly wonderful chance for all of us to come together as a group to say farewell to the past year's productions while celebrating the beginning of a new season of creation."

This year's silent auction has been assembled by Four Humors' Board of Directors and Company Members and will feature a wide variety of items from fantastic local businesses and artists. All money raised at this event from ticket sales and the silent auction will go to support Four Humor's upcoming season. April Fools was originally conceived by company founders Jason Ballweber, Brant Miller, Nick Ryan and Matt Spring. Although the basic narrative remains the same, the production evolves from year to year and has grown to feature the talents and efforts of the entire company. There's always something new to see!
