Chanhassen Dinner Theatres presents the Twin Cities' Premiere of Pamela McNeill's RUMOURS & DREAMS – The Music of Fleetwood Mac. The concert performance will play on The Fireside stage for a limited two-night engagement on Wednesday, April 25 and Thursday, April 26.
RUMOURS & DREAMS – The Music of Fleetwood Mac, is a tribute to the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame band. The American-British rock band was originally formed in London in 1967 and is still performing to this day. Notable band members include Mick Fleetwood, Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Christine McVie, John McVie, founder Peter Green and many others. To date, Fleetwood Mac has released 17 studio albums, 12 compilation albums, 69 singles, and produced 12 music videos and 16 live concert tours. The album entitled "Rumours," produced four U.S. top singles including Stevie Nicks' song "Dreams." It was the band's first and only U.S. No. 1 and remained at No. 1 on the American charts for 31 weeks as well as reaching the top spot in various countries around the world. To date "Rumours" has sold over 40 million copies worldwide, making it the eighth highest selling album of all time.
RUMOURS & DREAMS – The Music of Fleetwood Mac has a band including Pamela McNeill, Mary Jane Alm, and Jeff Engholm on vocals and a host of A-list musicians. With the help of these musicians, RUMOURS & DREAMS will take audiences on a journey through one of the richest songbooks in rock'n'roll history, press notes state. Featuring classic hits including: "Rhiannon," "The Chain," "Don't Stop," "Go Your Own Way" and "Gypsy."
RUMOURS & DREAMS has played to sellout audiences in venues outside of the Twin Cities. Dan Barth, co-founder of St. Cloud's Pioneer Place on Fifth Avenue enjoyed eleven sold out shows in his theatre and stated, "As a lifelong fan of Fleetwood Mac, I waited years for the right tribute show to come along. 'Rumours & Dreams' is a phenomenal musical concert fronted by three of Minnesota's greatest vocalists." When the concert has played in other Minnesota cities, they've not only sold out, but had to turn people away.
This concert event is the first of its kind to be held at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres. CDT President Michael Brindisi stated, "We are thrilled to welcome our friend Mary Jane Alm back home to Chanhassen. Not only does she have a tremendous following, but Mary Jane has appeared in past Chanhassen productions including one on this very same theatre stage.
