Stages Theatre Company (STC) presents Flora & Ulysses: The Illuminated Adventures, directed by Jeannine Coulombe. Based on the wildly popular book by Kate DiCamillo, this world premiere original adaptation is written by screenwriter Cristina Pippa and features an all local cast of twelve.
Stages Theatre Company brings you the story of the super-hero squirrel, Ulysses, and the self-proclaimed cynic, Flora Belle Buckman. When Flora saves Ulysses after he is sucked up through a vacuum cleaner, neither could predict the changes that would ensue. This eccentric, endearing saga about the possibilities of hope and the promises of a capacious heart is a world premiere adaptation based on the #1 New York Times best-selling author, Kate DiCamillo's 2014 Newbery Medal winner.
The complete local cast is as follows: Jennifer D'lynn Aasen (Phyllis), Colton Ames (William Spiver & Understudy Joker), Miel Aronson (Lexicon/Dr Meescham), Sophia Markstrom (The Point & Understudy Ulysses/Dolores), Liam Mcallister (Incandesto The Superhero), Arden Michalec (The Darkness/Mrs. Tootie Tickham/Rita The Waitress), Natalie Richardson (Dolores The Parakeet/ Mr. Klaus & Understudy Flora), Rachel Wagner (The Point & Understudy Incandesto/Darkness/Lexicon), Matt Wall (George), Mabel Weismann (Ulysses), Peyton Winegarden (Flora) and Oscar Wolfe (Joker & Understudy William Spiver)
