Stages Theatre Company (STC) presents its newest Theatre for the Very Young production of On the Railroad. In this unique and interactive experience, tiny patrons and their caregivers hop aboard to travel the world of trains and railroads. Children will participate in the action and explore sound creation, color sorting, shape and sound identification of animals, size and shape pairing, body movements and dancing!
On the Railroad opens Friday, August 3rd and runs through Saturday, August 26th. This show is specifically designed for little ones, ages 0 to 4 years old. The production will run approximately 45 minutes with no intermission. We encourage patrons to arrive 20 minutes prior to the production for a special preshow experience. Tickets are on sale now! Visit www.stagestheatre.org for specific performance dates and times or call the Box Office Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 6 pm at (952) 979-1111, option 4. Tickets are $10 for all ages one and up; free lap passes are available for those less than one.
This Theatre for the Very Young production is directed by Melanie Salmon-Peterson and written by Jim Hibbeler. Theatre for the Very Young is an experiential innovation in theatre, engaging children and their caregivers in creative experiences. "Theatre for the Very Young allows audience to break all the rules, and play and engage directly with the actors," said Salmon-Peterson. "The young audience members, along the actors and musicians, are participants in the creation of their own theatrical experience."
On the Railroad is sponsored by BNSF RAILWAY
