The Brave New Workshop Comedy Theatre will focus on love and relationships in their Winter 2014 production, "A Snowplow Named Desire: Love in Minnesota," which opens just in time for the Valentine's Day love rush. The show will feature both new sketches and some classic pieces, all of which will explore just about every facet of love and relationships, all through the BNW's trademark satirical lens.

But "Snowplow" isn't just about stereotypical or "traditional" love. Co-director Katy McEwen explains, "This is a show for everyone who has ever been in love, not been in love, thought about being in love, knew someone who was in love and wished they'd shut the hell up about it, or just wants to know, 'What's love got to do with it?'"

The exploration won't stop there. McEwen adds, "And we're not just talking about human love with another human person. Who hasn't loved a sandwich only to lose it in a cruel twist of menu fate? Who hasn't wondered if there isn't maybe just one penguin out there that isn't into the whole lifelong monogamy thing? We're digging deep into all of these issues for you, whether you like it or not."

Previews for the show run February 6-12, 2014, with opening night on Thursday, February 13. The show runs through March 29. All performances are at the Brave New Workshop Theatre main stage at 824 Hennepin Avenue, Downtown Minneapolis. Tickets for "Snowplow" are on sale now at (612) 332 6620 or http://theatre.bravenewworkshop.com/BuyTickets.aspx

Note: A special Valentine's dinner buffet add-on is available on Friday, February 14 and Saturday, February 15.

"Snowplow" features BNW cast members Lauren Anderson, Matt Erkel, Bobby Gardner, Andy Hilbrands, Tom Reed, Taj Ruler, and Melanie Wehrmacher. The show is directed by Caleb and Katy McEwen. Peter Guertin returns as music director, and Matthew Vichlach will provide technical direction.
