With preview performances underway, the Brave New Workshop Comedy Theatre (BNW) is eagerly anticipating the July 11 opening of the Fall 2014 comedy revue, "The Wolf of Walmart." All performances are at the Brave New Workshop Theatre main stage at 824 Hennepin Avenue, Downtown Minneapolis. "This show asks the question, 'What if Walmart was in charge of everything?' But then we realized they kind of already are," says BNW artistic director Caleb McEwen. "If you've ever walked in a Walmart and wondered how they could possibly be the largest company in the world, then this is the show for you."

"The Wolf of Walmart" features BNW cast members Lauren Anderson, Matt Erkel, Bobby Gardner, Tom Reed, and Taj Ruler. The show is directed by Caleb and Katy McEwen. Andy Hilbrands provides additional writing. Peter Guertin returns as music director, and Matthew Vichlach will provide technical direction.

About Brave New Workshop

The Brave New Workshop has been writing, performing and producing sketch comedy and improvisation since 1958-- longer than any other theatre in the United States. Founded by former circus performer Dudley Riggs and currently owned by husband and wife John Sweeney and Jenni Lilledahl, the BNW has become a legendary comedy institution, where audiences enjoy improv and sketch comedy nearly every night of the week. Alums of the Workshop stage include Louie Anderson, Pat Proft, Al Franken, Tom Davis, Mo Collins ("Arrested Development", "Parks and Recreation"), Peter MacNichol ("Ally McBeal," "24"), Melissa Peterman ("Reba", "Baby Daddy"), Cedric Yarborough ("Reno 911," "The Boondocks") and Rich Sommer ("Mad Men", "Harvey").
