Box Wine Theatre is producing Sam Graber's new play, "What Happened to the Dollar" at Bryant Lake Bowl from tonight, May 12th through May 26th.
Recently developed off-off-Broadway, "What Happened to the Dollar" comes to the Twin Cities for its world premiere. "We are a theater company specifically attuned to social and political commentary and 'What Happened to the Dollar' tells a great story about how the youth of the world can change our world overnight," says director Bethany Simmons. "The play is accessible to anyone and everyone."
"What Happened to the Dollar" takes a funny and entertaining look at a serious subject - what would happen the day after the U.S. dollar crashed? The plot: a small team of online gamers creates a virtual currency that turns into real-world money, which destabilizes the global banking system and takes down the U.S. dollar.
Box Wine Theatre's production of What Happened to the Dollar runs tonight, May 12 through May 26, Sundays and Thursdays, all shows at 7pm.
