April 12-18 is going to be a very busy week at the Peck School of the Arts.

Kenilworth Open Studios: A Celebration of Faculty and Students at the UWM Peck School of the Arts
April 17, 11am-2pm, Kenilworth Square East, 2155 N. Prospect Avenue
Free, fun, and open to the public! Enjoy live performances by Peck School dancers, actors, actresses, and musicians, including viewing a workshop with Dance students and live theatre rehearsal for upcoming performances. Watch award-winning films and explore art galleries showcasing student and faculty work. Participate in hands-on activities -- including button-making and silk-screening. Unruly Music Festival
April 15-18, 7:30pm, Vogel Hall, Marcus Center of the Performing Arts
The Peck School of the Arts and the Marcus Center co-present a four-night exploration of new music and electronic sound. Concerts showcase Peck School student and faculty talent and feature guest performances from chamber music ensemble C2. Program information for each concert is available at: arts.uwm.edu/unruly
Tickets can be purchased at the Marcus Center: $15 general/$12 seniors/$7 students. 4 concerts for $48.

Parachute Project
April 16, 6-10pm, Pabst Factory at 10th and Highland
The Parachute Project - a mobile art organization co-founded by graduating Peck School of the Arts students - lands its inaugural exhibition "Swing the Pool of Light" at the Pabst Factory this Friday during Gallery Night. Seeking to breathe new life into an abandoned Milwaukee landmark, the exhibition will feature work from more than twenty artists, performers and filmmakers. His residency includes a screening of his work in Film 201 at 11am on 4/12 & a presentation of new video at the Union Theatre at 7pm on 4/13.Free

April 13 - Alex de Grassi Master Class, 1-4pm, Kenilworth 640Master class with Grammy-nominated finger-style, steel-string guitarist, Alex de Grassi. De Grassi brings a unique voice to the art of acoustic guitar with evocative compositions and arrangements.$10 general admission for auditors, payable at the door

April 13 - MA/MFA Spring Thesis Exhibition II Gallery Talk, 4-6pm, INOVA/Arts CenterGallery Talk featuring six artists receiving their MFA degrees, Maria Bolivar, Jason Houchen, Richard Mutz, Brandon Bauer, Ashley Morgan and Leah Schrieber.Free

April 14 - UWM Friends of the MSO & Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Pre-Concert Lecture with Lee Erickson, 5-6pm, RecitAl HallLee Erickson, UWM alumnus and director of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Chorus, will be giving a talk on the UWM campus preceding the symphony's "Brahms' Requiem" concert, April 30-May 1. Lisa Gralnick: The Gold Standard Contextualized, 7pm, Arts Lecture HallMetalsmith Lisa Gralnick focuses on her recent seven-year, three-part body of work, The Gold Standard, exploring value systems and consumerism.
