On Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. the Milwaukee based rock band Revolush will perform a benefit concert in the Cabot Theatre at the Broadway Theatre Center located at 158 N. Broadway, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

A long time supporter of the Skylight Opera Theatre, Revolush lead singer Tommy Hahn is spearheading the event. Tommy has been seen in several Skylight Opera productions, most recently RENT in June of 2010. For the upcoming Skylight season, Tommy has been cast in Music Man and Sunday in the Park with George.

Since 2005, Revolush has become a strong force in the Milwaukee music scene. Members include Tommy Hahn (bass and lead vocals), Bill Reuter (guitar), Maxwell Emmett (guitar) and Chris Kollman (drums). With influences from XTC to Cheap Trick, Revolush uses melody as the cornerstone to create songs that are catchy and fresh. Their unabashed energy and retrogressive style have earned the band a loyal following and numerous awards (Shepherd Express Best of Milwaukee: Best Rock Band-2007; Best Male Vocalist-2006 & 2010.) Additional information about Revolush can be found at http://www.reverbnation.com/revolush.

The benefit concert will begin at 8:00 p.m. with an opening set of selections from rock musicals performed by numerous actors who have been in past Skylight Productions. The featured group, Revolush will then take the stage and perform a full set of original music.

All proceeds from the concert will benefit the Broadway Theatre Center which is owned and operated by the Skylight Opera Theatre of Milwaukee.

Tickets for the concert are $10 each and can be purchased online at www.skylightopera.com, by phone at (414) 291-7800 or at the door the night of the event.
