First Stage Theater Academy's Young Company presents AN EVENING OF YOUNG COMPANY SHORTS with performances on Friday, May 6 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 7 at 3:30 and 7 p.m. at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center, 325 W. Walnut St. in Milwaukee. Directed by Todd Denning, the Young Company's spring show will feature Tom Stoppard's FIFTEEN MINUTE HAMLET, selections from David Ives' ALL IN THE TIMING, and more! Tickets are available one hour prior to each performance at the door for a suggested donation of $10/adults, $5/student.
First Stage's Young Company showcases the power of language through a selection of short plays, Shakespeare scenes, and musical numbers in this one-of-a-kind performance. Young Company is First Stage's advanced, pre-professional training program for students ages 15 and older. Students hone their craft through college-level coursework, master classes and performance in Young Company productions and New Play Workshops.
Director Todd Denning, is a theater artist who lives and works in Milwaukee as an actor, director, teacher, fight choreographer and sound designer/engineer. He has acted in several First Stage productions including PETER PAN AND WENDY, ALEXANDER AND THE TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAY, THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER and HOW I BECAME A PIRATE. His First Stage directing credits includes THE QUILTMAKER'S GIFT, GIGGLE GIGGLE QUACK and numerous other Company Class and Young Company productions.
