First Stage today annoucned that Betsy Corry, former associate executive director of COA Youth & Family Centers, has been appointed as the new managing director of First Stage. Corry succeeds Rob Goodman, who was the founding artistic director of First Stage and alternately filled the roles of artistic director and managing director for the company's 25-year history. Along with our dedicated management team, incredible staff and passionate board, we look ahead with strength of purpose and a commitment to broaden our reach and deepen our impact in the coming years."

Corry stated, "I am deeply honored to have been selected for this position. I love First Stage and cannot wait to help guide them forward into the next exciting quarter century!"

The national search for the new Managing Director was led by Bob Arzbaecher, CEO of Actuant Corporation. In a statement, Arzbaecher said, "Betsy has invaluable non-profit experience, a great understanding of our community and proven management skills, along with a deep passion for First Stage and our mission that more than qualifies her to step back into this leadership role."

Upon Corry's start at First Stage, Goodman will transition into an emeritus role, working on special initiatives for the company.
