Celebrate Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR) with on-air host Kathleen Dunn on Thursday, September 25 at the Elm Grove Woman's Club. This evening is a unique opportunity for listeners to interact with radio personalities and other WPR fans.
The night kicks off at 6 p.m. with a cash bar, hors d'oeuvres, and a silent auction featuring prizes from WPR's local partners. Prizes will include a Harley-Davidson Museum package, tickets to see the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, a 12-month coffee subscription to Colectivo's Featured Farms series, and more. A buffet dinner is served at 7 p.m. Guests will have a chance to mingle and dine with WPR staff members, including Kathleen Dunn, Larry Meiller (host of The Larry Meiller Show), WPR Director Mike Crane, and Dunn's producers. Dunn will give a talk about her career of more than 30 years in the Milwaukee radio market, culminating in her induction into the Milwaukee Press Club's Media Hall of Fame this October. A Q&A session with Dunn and her producers will follow.
Tickets to the dinner are $60 per person and include a donation to WPR. Register online at www.wpr.org/milwaukee or by calling 414-227-2047.
Kathleen Dunn is the host of The Kathleen Dunn Show, heard Monday through Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. on WPR's Ideas Network (heard locally on 90.7 FM and on 15 other WPR stations around Wisconsin).
