If ever there was a time to bring people together to lift spirits and be therefor each other, its now. After a challenging year, and the devastation to basements, homes, businesses, churches and organizations caused by the recent flooding in southeast Michigan, Grosse Pointe Theatre decided to bring some happiness to the community through its Singin in the Streets performance program. On Friday, July 23 at 7 p.m., and on Saturday, July 24 at 2 p.m., Grosse Pointe Theatre will present its Singin in the Streets cast and its Broadway Bound singers in a live, hour-long, family-friendly stage performance outdoors on the beautiful grounds of Christ Church Grosse Pointe, located at 61 Grosse Pointe Blvd. in Grosse Pointe Farms. Performances and parking are FREE, and everyone is welcome. Guests should bring a lawn chair or blanket, and sunscreen. Grosse Pointe Theatres Singin in the Street is made possible by the generous support of the Detroit Wing Company and Beyond Juicery + Eatery, this years sponsors.
