The Jewish Ensemble Theatre will present the opening of their 2009-2010 season with the presentation of THE BLANK PAGE by Kitty Dubin. This is the premiere production of the play by the Michigan-born playwright. THE BLANK PAGE is directed by Gillian Eaton and the cast features Sarab Kamoo, John Lepard, Naz Edwards and Leslie Ann Handelman.

With the deadline for her second novel looming, a creative writing professor is mired in self-doubt while work, family and a gifted new student threaten to drag her under. As she struggles to finish the novel, conflicts erupt with her husband, her best friend and her oh-so-talented student. Michigan playwright and professor Kitty Dubin explores the choices we make in creating our own stories with her trademark wit, compassion, and razor-sharp dialogue.

THE BLANK PAGE runs through November 9th at the Aaron DeRoy Theatre in Detroit. Performances take place Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 5:00 and 8:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. There will be a special Wednesday matinee performance on November 4 at 2:00 p.mTickets for THE BLANK PAGE may be purchased by phone at 248-788-2900, by fax at 248-788-5160 or through email at boxoffice@JetTheatre.org.
